GENERAL TOUR INFORMATION
HISTORY TOUR
Adults $25

This is a one-hour tour led by an experienced docent sharing facts and stories of the 300-year-old history of the homestead and those who lived there. With a special focus on family history, daily life, and the people who shaped the home across generations.
WALK-THROUGH TOUR
Adults $10
Children $5
A 45-minute guided walk-through of the Homestead's rooms on the first and second floors. Guests must stay with the guide and group throughout the museum. This tour offers a brief overview of the home and is ideal for visitors looking for a general introduction.
SCHOOL TOUR

In order to preserve the house and grounds, we ask:

No food or drink in the house

No pets or animals with the exception of service animals in the house

No interior photography

No smoking on the grounds

Remove any trash or pet waste from the grounds, there are no trash cans available

Guests must stay with guide and guests throughout the museum.
ACCESSIBILITY The front door to the house is up 3 steps. The floors of the house are uneven in places. Chairs are available in each room to sit during the tour. The second floor is accessible via a flight of stairs. A modified tour with pictures of the upper rooms is available upon request.
PARKING: Street parking is available on Van Nydeck Avenue. Public Parking is also available on Henry Street, Municipal parking is available throughout Beacon-check Google Maps
TRANSPORTATION
The Teller Avenue & Main Street Bus Stop is located across from the house. Dutchess Loop Routes F- which services Hopewell Junction to Beacon, and Route G, which services Beacon, including the Beacon Train Station. The Beacon Post Office Bus Stop of Route B, which services Poughkeepsie, including the Poughkeepsie Train Station, Wappingers and Fishkill, is a block away.
